Optimize Power Pages Site Performance with Content Delivery Network (CDN) for Static Web Pages
When managing a website, browsing speed is crucial for user experience. One effective way to boost site performance is by using static page caching.
Power Pages already provides enabling Content Delivery Network (CDN) for static files, and now we are enhancing this capability further by allowing by makers to configure static web pages to be served from the CDN server.
What is Static Page Caching?
When a website contains static pages that are accessed by anonymous users, caching allows the content to be served quickly without hitting the server every time. This reduces server load and ensures a seamless experience for anonymous users. Irrespective of whether a page is enabled for cache or not, authenticated users will always get the pages served from the application server.

Key benefits of Static Page Caching:
- Improved Performance: Faster page load times, leading to better user experience.
- Lower Server Load: Reduction in unnecessary requests to the server.
- Higher Engagement: Faster sites leading to users sticking around longer, browsing more pages, and more end user productivity.
When Should You Enable Caching?
- For Anonymous Visitors: If your site has pages that are frequently accessed by non-logged-in users, caching those static pages can drastically improve performance.
- Static or Low-Dynamic Pages: Pages with fixed content or minimal dynamic elements—like blogs, knowledge articles, or forums are great candidates for caching.
