Position Title: Research Intern for Artificial Intelligence Reasoning Group

Job Type: Full-time Intern

Location: Beijing/Shanghai

Group Introduction:

The Artificial Intelligence Reasoning team at Microsoft Research Asia focuses on the training and development of large models, covering cutting-edge research in data collection and integration, model architecture design, and training strategies. Through cross-department collaboration and technological innovation, the team is dedicated to exploring how pre-training and post-training techniques can enhance the key capabilities of large models.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in automated data collection and synthesis tasks.
  2. Contribute to post-training of models to enhance performance.
  3. Assist in optimizing and maintaining system code.
  4. Work closely with team members to complete assigned technical tasks.

Qualifications:

  1. Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience in large model development with a basic understanding of model fine-tuning and reinforcement learning.
  3. Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms, with strong programming skills (proficient in Python).
  4. Proficiency in English for technical communication and documentation reading.
  5. Strong communication skills, teamwork spirit, and a sense of responsibility; highly self-motivated and able to quickly engage in project work under mentor guidance.

Internship Duration Requirements:

Must obtain permission from your academic advisor and commit to at least six months of internship.

工作职责

  1. 参与自动化数据收集与合成任务；
  2. 参与模型后训练以提升模型性能；
  3. 协助系统代码的优化与维护；
  4. 与团队成员紧密合作，完成指定技术任务。

任职要求

  1. 计算机科学、软件工程、电子工程或相关专业背景；
  2. 具备大模型开发经验，对模型微调和强化学习有基本了解；
  3. 扎实的数据结构与算法基础，具备良好的编程能力（熟悉 Python）；
  4. 能够熟练使用英文进行技术沟通和文档阅读；
  5. 具备良好的沟通能力、团队合作精神和责任心，自驱力强，能够在导师指导下快速开展项目工作。

工作时间要求

需获得导师许可，确保至少三个月的实习周期。
