Principal Researcher

About

I am an active researcher and developer in deep learning for vision, imaging and biomedicine signal processing. I am passionate about working at the cross-section of imaging and deep learning to break the physics limitation. The goal is to achieve super imaging capacity in the routine workflow by developing new training methods and training cutting edge domain specific imaging foundation model.

The AI solutions I developed had been deployed to more than 80 hospitals globally and used daily to help clinicians and patients. I had published extensively for more than 100 peer-reviewed papers.  I was co-awarded the Orloff Innovations Award in 2016 and 2020 by the Division of Intramural Research, NHLBI, for developing high performance image reconstruction software and for developing and deploying AI cardiac perfusion quantification. I am a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (FSCMR) since 2018 and a Fellow of European Society of Cardiology (FESC) since 2025. I am serving as editors and regular reviewers for several research journals. I am the inventor or co-inventor of 15 US patents.
